How to Green Your Campus, Fleet Curriculum with State Energy Funds

Energy Independence & Carbon Neutral Campuses

One prime area in which to mitigate climate change is by providing small communities, cities, buildings and clusters of structures with conservation and efficient systems that integrate renewable energy generation. The argument today is that these new technologies both cost too much and are not ready for commercial use. While elements of these cost factors are correct, the facts are that renewable energy systems are now commercial and implemented in buildings, complexes, and clusters for public and private use. Moving from dependence on fossil fuels to renewable energy generation must be a prime policy objective backed by solid economic analysis. It is The Third Industrial Revolution. This panel presents this argument with experts working on actual cases for college campuses and private sector buildings. Change starts with leadership from the Boards and elected officials in any organization.
