There is the need to manufacture products with sustainability in design, lifecycle, and environmental health that complement efficient building construction and renovation. These new lines of furniture, equipment, accessories, and interior components are based on environmental friendly design and sustainable practices referred to as Ecodesign.

Ecodesign is an approach to design of a product with special consideration for the environmental impacts of the product during its whole lifecycle: procurement, manufacture, use and disposal. This is often referred to as "cradle to cradle" design - ending the "cradle to grave" cycle of manufactured products by creating products that can be fully reclaimed or re-used.
