Bharat is the Vice President and Director of Sustainability at URS Corporation, an international architectural design and construction management company. He has over 28 years design and construction experience in sustainable development and has worked on building projects with leading architects in Europe, Asia and America. He has participated in numerous conferences around the world including at the United Nations Conference on Climate Change in Bali. An expert in benchmarking carbon and trading it as a commodity and a registered engineer in 12 states, Bharat is a LEED Accredited Professional and is past chair of the Los Angeles chapter of the U.S. Green Building Council. He is on the Community Advisory Board at the Union Bank of California helping initiate funding green developments and an advisor for the Apollo Alliance, an organization focused on creating green jobs in America. He has the ability, knowledge and partnerships necessary to keep advancing the state of the art of green building.
