Californa State Archetect's Welcome
State Architect's Welcome
December 8, 2009
Dear Attendee:
On behalf of the Advisory Board, I'd like to welcome you to the 2009 Green California Schools Summit.
Schools face growing pressure to manage resources effectively, from navigating changing budgets to managing energy and water use. Fortunately, the green schools movement has much to offer administrators, business officers and teachers who face these challenges. This Summit was designed to help you find the technologies, strategies and funding sources that are best for your school.
Whatever your specific job may be, each of you can play an important role in creating healthy, sustainable schools and in helping a new generation of students prepare to take their place in a world where the economy is increasingly driven by "green" innovation.
Please make a point of visiting us at the "Passport to Grid Neutral and Green Schools" exhibit. I think you'll be very encouraged to discover how many resources are available to help your green programs succeed.
Thank you for making it a priority to be here. Our schools, and our students, need your help.
Yours sincerely,
David A. Thorman, AIA
