Million Kid March
The youth of this planet, the ones who will be most affected by climate change and the adults who care about them.
What:
A million kid march, happening in all 50 states, all on the same day, organized at the grassroots level by passionate youth and their mentors, parents and teachers who care.
When:
Hopefully spring of 2010 but we need leaders to step up in every state and nation to make it happen.
Where:
State capitals, school campuses, city halls, neighborhoods, and everywhere else there is a youth leader in the U.S as well as India, Nigeria and other countries.
Why:
Because climate change is the most urgent and potentially dangerous issue of our time and we, as youth, are going to be affected more than anyone else by it. We know we matter and we are already creating a new future by starting to live in new ways in our homes, schools and neighborhoods. We are joining our actions together and making sure our voices are heard by our leaders.
How:
Our online and iPhone/mobile phone apps will support student-led marches with mentors, media and messaging support from Kids Vs. Global Warming and our partners.
